Dunedin Orienteering Club maintains two email groups to provide notification of upcoming events and results. YODA also operates a similar email group for its members.

The doc-members group is, unsurprisingly, for DOC members only. Any member is able to send emails to all other group members by emailing doc-members_at_yahoogroups.com

The doc-announce group is for non-members who want reminders of forthcoming events and results. People in this group cannot post messages to others in the group

The YODA_orienteers group is for the Youth Orienteers Dunedin Association to stay in touch with each other.

If you are not already signed up and want to, it is straightforward but does take a few minutes. It is also something you have to do yourself, we cannot now just put you on the lists.

First, fill out one of the yellow Yahoo boxes at the bottom of this page. A few minutes or hours later you should get an email that will lead you to the Yahoo signup page (some spam filters send Yahoo emails to "junk" folders, so if you don't appear to get an email, hunt around). When you get to the Yahoo signup page we strongly recommend you select the "Join the mailing list" option as shown in orange below. If you select "Join the group" you will be asked for all sorts of unnecessary information for no extra benefit.

Yahoo insist that you put something in the "200 characters maximum" box, but keep it brief (the letter "O" will do). After sending the information on the signup page, the DOC and/or YOPA webpeople will be able to activate your email group membership.
